Client / Partner: IHS Nigeria Limited, TechQuest STEM Academy, NERDC, Federal Ministry of Education
Scope: 45 schools, 3 states, 3 regions
Our Role: Implementation Lead, full programme delivery
IHS Nigeria’s Mission-T programme was one of the most operationally demanding STEM education engagements Consonance has delivered. The objective was to bring structured, high-quality ICT education to secondary school students across three Nigerian regions simultaneously, not as a pilot, but as a programme with the ambition and build quality to be absorbed into the national curriculum.
Kelvin and the Consonance programs team, led every dimension of delivery. We developed the full ICT curriculum, textbooks, student workbooks, and 65 original learning videos, built for the realities of Nigerian classrooms and integrated into IHS’s STEM application. We coordinated Teacher Academies in three regions, training 60 teachers to deliver the content before a single student session ran. Across 45 schools, we managed classroom engagement for up to 100 students per school, supported by state coordinating teams of three people per region and 15 dedicated mentors for the Technovation Challenge component.
The programme did not end at delivery. Consonance produced a comprehensive State of STEM Report documenting outcomes and evidence, which, combined with the NERDC partnership, provided the technical foundation for the programme’s content to be embedded into Nigeria’s national education framework. The work outlasted the programme.
