When Seerbit decided to challenge Nigeria’s developer community to rethink payment infrastructure, they needed more than a hackathon, they needed a narrative. The prevailing conversation in 2022 was that Nigeria had too many fintechs and too little differentiation. Seerbit wanted to reframe that, to use the hackathon as proof that there was still meaningful, unsolved work to be done in the payments layer.
Consonance designed the programme from the ground up. We developed the challenge brief, setting the problem framing and judging criteria in a way that rewarded genuine technical depth and product thinking over surface-level demos. We built the application and screening infrastructure, managing the volume of submissions and running a structured review process to identify the most credible teams. Once teams were selected, we coordinated the judging panel, briefed evaluators, and managed the competitive arc through to the grand finale, executed in partnership with Ventures Platform.
