Client / Partner: Techcircle, Nigerian and Japanese VC community
Scope: 200+ startup applicants · ₦1,000,000 prize · National
Our Role: Programme Manager, evaluation framework and competition delivery
Pitch2Win was a Techcircle-organised national startup competition with a prize pool of ₦1,000,000, but the more interesting design decision was the deliberate presence of the Nigerian/Japanese VC community as active participants, not just observers. The programme was built to give early-stage founders something more valuable than the prize alone; direct access to investors actively looking at Nigerian deal flow.
Kelvin led the programme operations. He managed the application and screening process for 200+ startup submissions, designed the judging rubric and evaluation framework, coordinated the judging panel, and structured the full competition arc from application open through to the final pitch event. The investor engagement component was woven into the programme design rather than bolted on, ensuring that every competing team, not just the winner, left with meaningful exposure to international capital.
Key Outcomes
